THE AUTHOR'S BACKSTORY

D. C. Lacheny used to sneak books past her parents and discovered the universe inside each story, making her a lifelong reader. She currently lives in California with her husband and two bossy cats. During her time away from her books, she works as a dietitian, cooks and photographs dishes, and spends as much time with family as possible.
